Artist Statement

God is the most supreme artist I know.  
Therefore, I try to copy His works as closely as I possibly can in my art.  
Every shade, every hue, every line, and contour has a purpose and a story to tell.  
I try to capture these in my art.  
I think people are God’s most glorious masterpiece in all our variety and similarities, 
simplicity and complexities, 
difficulties and victories.
What myriad of emotions our faces hold! 
I try to give life to my art by capturing these emotions in my portraits. 
I can never be as supreme an artist as God, but I can hope to come close as I press on and keep trying.
